What prompted Mother Earth to change her mind and rescind the Big One?
For one thing there are signs that Japan is learning from the March 11 mega-quake to stop relying on polluting nuclear power. Japan's Prime Minister Naoto Kan said in July that the nation should become a nuclear-free society because of the Fukushima power station disaster.
And August 6, Yoko Ono said Japan should switch from nuclear to getting its energy from abundant geothermal power underground instead.
Another consideration is that the massive deaths, radiation poisoning of food crops, and massive suffering of the survivors of the Quake and tsunami are forcing Japanese citizens to consider humanitarian issues as more important than the next cell phone app.
So, Gaia is willing to give Japan a couple years to demonstrate whether they have learned wisdom from the March 11 events, or not.
For now, the second Great Quake off Honshu, Japan has been called off by the only one who can, Mother Earth.
